The mystery surrounding The Walking Dead: Dead City continues to grow as a brief teaser was released, revealing what fans might expect from next year’s spinoff. As the first of several spinoffs to arrive after the conclusion of The Walking Dead, there are a lot of expectations to be met.

Especially considering Maggie and Negan leave off on a solid, good note during the series finale. There was nothing but respect and gratitude between them.

The 20-second teaser doesn’t hold back in setting the tone for Dead City. Danger lurks around every corner for Maggie and Negan as walkers continue to invade the streets day and night.

As the two meet fellow survivors, some undoubtedly dangerous, they will face gruesome sights as fans will get to see what walkers who roam the abandoned city look like. It will be interesting to see how far the effects department will go to not only make these walkers different from others we’ve seen, but also reflecting the environment they’ve been forced to live in.

What dangers will Maggie and Negan face in The Walking Dead: Dead City?

Not a word needs to be said to get the point across that this may be a very different tale from the ever-growing TWDU. Yes, we’ve heard similar words from cast and crew ever since The Walking Dead began airing on AMC.

However, it does continue to amaze me how they are able to take a world we think we know very well by now and continue to turn it on its head repeatedly. Considering I recognized some of the shots from watching filming, I can already gauge even more so where some of the episodes are going.

All the same, the more I see and learn of the spinoff, the more excited I get. 2023 may be The Walking Dead’s most successful year yet!
