Yellowstone: Official full trailer for 1923 released

Cara Dutton is quickly showing she is a force to be reckoned with in the new trailer for 1923.  As a neighboring ranch owner comes over to introduce themselves, she is not appealed by the gesture and lets them know they are not welcome on The Yellowstone.

1923 looks to start off action-packed from the jump. A war seems on the brink already.

We see Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn who plays Banner Creighton, a hard-headed Scot, and leader of the local sheep man. There soon looks to be going on a range war with the Duttons’.

Their prosperous new neighbor Donald Whitfield, looks to be the start of all that goes bad. The official trailer dropped during Sunday night’s episode of Yellowstone and it has us all on the edge of our seats already.

What can fans expect of the Yellowstone spinoff 1923?

“Men kill quick with a bullet or a noose. But their fight is with me, and I kill much slower.” Cara’s Irish accent gives this line an extra chill as she speaks to Dalton again.

She takes kindly to no threats and doesn’t back down from any man. In 1923 we will see the Dutton family take on pandemics and prohibition, along with The Great Depression under the leadership of patriarch Jacob Dutton, who looks to be a force himself.

The team between him and Cara looks to be like one bad#$% romantic dynamic duo that you do not want to cross. And two of the reasons that The Yellowstone is still standing today.

”Greed will be the thing that kills us all,” words spoken by Cara Dutton. Greed is something that created a downfall of many great men.

It is the lack of confidence of one’s own ability to create and we will see that in this coming miniseries. How far men will go to take what they want?

Will they take too much from everyone else and create an inevitable war? This is a new generation in1923 that takes place 40 years after the hit series 1883.

We will see familiar names but maybe not so many familiar faces. In the trailer Luciana Rainwater is introduced.

We know Thomas Rainwater of the main show as the leader of the Broken Rock Indian Reservation. Timothy Dalton plays Donald Whitfield, a rich and cruel businessman who is accustomed to getting what he wants.

What he wants is to take over the whole valley and own it all. Jacob is one person who is going to stand in his way.

Nobody messes with his family. “You attack my family, it’s gonna be the last thing you ever do,” Jacob says at the end of the trailer.

Other notable stars in the trailer were Darren Mann of Animal Kingdom, Brian Geraghty of Big Sky, James Badge Dale of Hightown, Marley Shelton of Scream, Aminah Nieves of Blueberry, and Michelle Randolph of A Snow White Christmas.

1923 will premiere on December 18th on Paramount +. The pilot will also air on Paramount Networks, directly following an all-new episode of Yellowstone.
