Obviously, unless you have missed the news entirely, you’ll know Amazon Prime’s The Boys has not been as controversial as Twitter itself these days. Still, amidst endless controversy and what the dimensions of Elon Musk’s idea of “free speech” entail, plenty of celebrities, TV series, and films have decided to tough it out and stick with the social media platform, at least for now.

So, it was a bit of a delight for some fans of The Boys to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan fully verify he has a script for season 4 of the hit series. In fact, Morgan even issued a fun challenge for fans to zoom in and try reading portions of the script themselves.

Of course, the vast majority of people lack superhuman vision, or even the necessary technology, to see what visible parts say. Oh, and Mr. Morgan also did not reveal which character he is playing, so that mystery remains as well.

That being said, the IMDb page for Jeffrey Dean Morgan suggests he only appears in one episode, which will surely be disappointing to superfans, if true. Many will assume he’ll play a character similar to Negan from The Walking Dead, but The Boys seems like a show fully capable of having actors play against type.

The Boys Twitter news round 2

Fortunately, not all of The Boys news from Twitter is so vague, as the official Twitter page said in a recent tweet, “Some Hugh news for ya: Simon Pegg is back for S4 and Rosemarie DeWitt joins the madness as Hughie’s mum.” They continue with, “Also, welcome Elliot Knight and Rob Benedict in roles that ain’t yer business just yet.”

Elliot Knight has appeared in the film Color Out of Space, as well as the TV series Titans, American Gothic, How to Get Away with Murder, among other things. Rob Benedict has appeared in the films Waiting…, State of Play, Not Another Teen Movie, and the TV series Supernatural.

Last but not least, Rosemarie DeWitt has appeared in films like Rachel Getting Married, Your Sister’s Sister, Poltergeist (2015), and La La Land. So, there you have it, folks!

Obviously, not all of the details have been revealed yet about the characters. TV shows have a habit of keeping us guessing, especially during the early stages of production.

It is safe to predict that The Boys will have plenty of people getting blown up, though. Plus, let’s not forget that Homelander almost met his match in season 3.

This means some new characters may be necessary to make Homelander’s and The Boys’ lives even more complicated!
