With the turn of the calendar to February, the scent of love is in the air and romance is on the mind. The 14th of this month will see love celebrated tenfold and to get in the spirit we have decided to look at the couples (Star Wars specifically), who make up everyone’s favorite world of space, magic, creatures, magic creatures, and politics.

Even if it was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, that does not change the fact that love endures all with these Star Wars relationships.

Although they have never been a focal point of any story, Bail and Breha Organa still hold one of the most important jobs of the entire Skywalker Saga. As the adoptive parents of young Leia, this Alderaani couple had to protect Anakin’s baby girl while living under a tyrannical government.

Throughout the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, audiences were given more insight into Leia’s guardians, especially her mother, Breha. The movies and shows prior to this, have looked at Bail countless times but seeing the maternal side of Leia’s childhood makes up the incredible character that is Leia Organa.

Star Wars Relationships: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Satine Kryze

Told primarily within the animated series of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Obi-Wan and Satine were reminiscent of the iconic prequel trilogy couple. The Mandalorian ruler and future Old Ben had a deep-rooted love that was torn apart when Kenobi chose the Jedi Order over his romantic relationships.

Satine’s respect for Obi-Wan’s choice almost makes it a more tragic love story, since they are unable to be together. While this development was likely added to increase the strain between Obi-Wan and Anakin, their love for one another was true and never in doubt.

Star Wars Relationships: R2-D2 and C-3PO

The only non-explicit romantic couple on the list, the two droids are the bedrock and foundation of the entire Skywalker Saga of Star Wars. Introduced as simple messengers for an intergalactic revolution, R2-D2 and C-3PO have been separated at times but always find themselves back by each other’s side.

Headcanon folks will argue these two are in fact a romantic couple but regardless, their bond is a perfect one. With 3PO being the strait-laced character who doesn’t understand sarcasm and R2 being the sassy little menace, their relationship is simply iconic.

Together, the two of them are not only able to successfully deliver the plans for the Death Star, but also bring plenty of laughs and memorable moments.

Star Wars Relationships: Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala

Chronologically known as the first couple of Star Wars movie history, Anakin and Padmé are star-crossed lovers in the purest of senses. While their love was a forbidden one according to Anakin being a Jedi, this does not deter either of them from falling in love and getting married.

Audiences were given an extra glance into the relationship between Luke and Leia’s parents within Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It’s there where the two truly showed their love for one another and how they managed their complicated relationship with both of their respective duties.

Although they are the first chronologically, these two are still second to only…

The original couple in the Star Wars franchise, it is hard to argue how perfect Han and Leia have always been for one another. Their personalities clash by being such polar opposites, given their respective backgrounds, but somehow it always works.

The only time their relationship couldn’t handle it, is when they lost their son to an evil supreme leader. So, it is safe to say they were pretty good together.

This was confirmed when they were reunited after years of healing and picked up right where they left off.
