It wasn’t that long ago that we recently wondered and wrote about Moon Knight and the possibility of a season 2. As we are drawing closer to one year since the Disney Plus Marvel show aired, it looks like we may have found a more definitive answer.
Last week Kevin Feige spoke to Entertainment Weekly about a variety of things, from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to She-Hulk. But what we found interesting was his brief mention of Moon Knight.
“I think there’s a future for that character as we move forward,” Kevin explains while answering a question in regard to the launch of Disney Plus shows. Does this mean we will see Marc/Steven/Jake in the near future?
Possibly. It is a step in the right direction, as opposed to trying to decipher information through rumors.
What did Kevin Feige recently share about Moon Knight?
Moon Knight season 1 ended on a cliffhanger of sorts, as it was revealed that although Marc and Steven are free from Khonshu’s debt, Jake was not. Jake is Marc Spector’s third personality, who was revealed in the end credits, apparently finishing the job by killing Arthur Harrow.
But was Arthur Harrow killed, or was this a simple misdirection? That exciting plot twist aside, there were several more unanswered questions and areas left for interpretation, including Marc’s relationship status with Layla and how he and Steven will live moving onward.
We will continue to keep our eyes and ears open for further news, that we hope will lead to Moon Knight’s return to the MCU. In the meantime, Moon Knight season 1 is available on Disney Plus.
