By now, most of The Walking Dead fanbase has heard the wonderful news that the Rick and Michonne spinoff has indeed begun filming. Twitter has provided a plethora of leaked images and rumored filming locations in New Jersey.

But it was today’s tweet from the official The Walking Dead Twitter account that truly melted our hearts. Two images were shared, with the news that Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Danai Gurira (Michonne) are back on set as their story begins!

The images reveal the two of them holding hands lovingly, as well as their designated actor chairs. Rick and Michonne’s story, which began with distrust and later turned to loyalty, friendship, and of course love, is definitely one of the better relationship arcs that took place on the AMC show.

I’m sure we can all remember at least one relationship from the show, that made us scratch our heads in confusion. All the same, Rick and Michonne’s relationship says a lot considering The Walking Dead ran for 11 seasons.

Truth be told, Rick and Michonne are the ideal power couple and King and Queen of the apocalypse. But how have they changed since they last saw each other?

What dangers has Rick encountered regarding the CRM? What difficulties has Michonne endured while searching for Rick?

Even with the few leaked images, it is very hard to decipher what is going on. But we look forward to learning more about the spinoff, and how their story might change the TWDU forever.
