The Walking Dead alumni Steven Yeun joins Marvel
Steven Yeun, known for his roles on the television shows The Walking Dead, Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, and films Minari, The Humans, and Nope is expanding his acting resume once more! In case you haven’t heard, Yeun will be joining the cast of Marvel’s Thunderbolts!
The Thunderbolts cast includes plenty of new and established Marvel characters such as Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Harrison Ford (Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell). Previously William Hurt played the role of Thaddeus but has since passed away.
Currently, Yeun’s role remains unknown but that hasn’t stopped many from theorizing. Could be playing Mister Negative, Amadeus Cho, Sentry or someone entirely new?
We’re also curious how and when Thunderbolts will fit into the ever-growing MCU. Yeun is just one of many stars from The Walking Dead who have dived into the world of Marvel.
What’s next for The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun?
This includes familiar faces such as, Danai Gurira (Okoye), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Ross Marquand (Red Skull voice), Matt Lintz (Bruno Carrelli) and Michael James Shaw (Corvus Glaive).
While Thunderbolts seems to be in the pre-production stage, Yeun’s other projects Love Me, Mickey 17, and Beef appear to be in post-production. This means if you are a fan of Yeun, you won’t have to wait too long to see him in another television show or movie.
However, depending on Yeun’s Thunderbolts role, we may be seeing him in more Marvel projects. You can check out Steven Yeun’s impressive and extensive acting resume on his IMDb page.
