In the same tweet, an image is shared of Eleven standing before a towering and threatening Vecna. This is implying that like in her past, Eleven will have to face Vecna on her own with the hopes of finally killing him and closing the portal to the Upside Down forever.
But will she lose her friends in the process? While the tweet does invoke a lot of excitement, is this filming news true or is it simply a rumor?
David Harbour (Violent Night, We Have a Ghost), who plays the very popular character Hopper, has revealed it is true! According to Collider, Harbour was quoted saying the following, “We’re walking into season five. I’ve got a couple more months to train. We start shooting that in June, though, and that will be the final season.”
What can fans expect from the fifth and final season of Stranger Things?
He continues to mention the training he did for season 4, as Hopper was literally confined in a brutal Russian prison. Thankfully he’s been freed thanks to Joyce, Murray and Dimitri and is back in the United States, “where they have cheeseburgers, so he will be well-fed.”
But will the current predicament happening in Hawkins prevent Hopper from getting those said cheeseburgers? How will the group stop Vecna from completing his final plan?
Will Max awaken from her coma? Has Will somehow been a part of this from the beginning?
We’ll have to wait a little bit longer to find out! In the meantime, you can catch up on the current four seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix.
