The Last of Us season 1 might be over, but that’s not stopping series co-creator Neil Druckmann. In a recent tweet he posted to Twitter, he revealed an image of a muscular arm holding a hammer.

The background fades from dense forests to abandoned cars, with the HBO series title underneath the hammer. The image definitely gives us Stranger Things vibes for sure.

In the same tweet, he mentions that “Season 2 is already on its way!”, which could mean a variety of things. The immediate response, from Twitter users was that Abby was going to appear in the new season.

We’ll keep the spoilers light, but to briefly explain, Abby Anderson appears in the videogame The Last of Us Part II. She is the daughter of a man Joel happened to kill and now she seeks her revenge.

Will The Last of Us season 2 make a big change to a specific character?

Whether or not Abby will get her revenge could be one of the biggest diversions from the videogame to date. Some changes were made in season 1 but will more changes be coming in the next season?

The season 1 finale did leave fans with quite a discussion topic, did Joel make the right decision? He lied to Ellie and decided to place both his and her needs before the rest of the apocalyptic world.

Season 1 also ended in such a way, that Abby’s introduction will lineup rather perfectly. Until we learn more, you can watch or rewatch The Last of Us season 1 on HBO.
