There is no doubt that The Mandalorian is a successful Star Wars television show. As we dive into a new season of the Disney Plus series, many wonder who Din Djarin’s next foe might be.

While he has faced many villainous characters, most are minor characters in comparison to the likes of Moff Gideon. As we recall, he was arrested at the end of season 2 but he’ll probably make a reappearance at some point.

We highly doubt he has given up his efforts in obtaining or possibly killing Grogu. But could it be possible that Mando’s next foe is a Mandalorian as well?

Enter our villain theory subject: Paz Vizsla. From the beginning of the show, the audience has been shown and told how loyal, trustworthy, and resilient Mandalorians are.

Why Paz Vizsla could become the next threat on The Mandalorian

In the same timeframe, we saw the likes of Paz aiding Din Djarin in his initial escape with Grogu in tow, from the remnants of the Empire. This is after going back on completing a paid job.

But this loyalty faded awfully quick, when Din’s actions began costing the Mandalorians nearly everything. Even though The Armorer remained as calm and collected as ever, Paz’s true colors began to show.

Especially when he discovers that Din wields the Darksaber. This is a huge deal, as whoever wields the Darksaber, is also the ruler of Mandalore.

The last owner of the weapon was Bo-Katan Kryze. Perhaps it is the power of the weapon, the history of Vizsla’s family, or something else entirely, but the fact remains that Paz essentially becomes Din’s enemy from this point forward.

He loses in a fight with Din over the blade and since then seems to use any opportunity possible to act like a school bully on a playground. Honestly, he’s probably jealous of Din.

But this kind of jealousy can really cause a lot of problems if not dealt with immediately. Even while wearing their armor and helmets, you can read the body language of Mandalorians, especially in moments of deep silence.

Paz is far from pleased to see Din be accepted as a Mandalorian again, let alone Bo-Katan. He seems awfully obsessed with being The Armorer’s shadow and doing all that he can to please her and the rest of his Mandalorian comrades.

Even so, we wouldn’t be surprised if his jealousy not only brings about his downfall but almost causes a collapse of what’s left of the Mandalorians of Mandalore. What do you think?
