What happens in the Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story trailer?

Fans of Netflix’s Bridgerton will be most pleased to see that another trailer (possibly the official trailer) has been released for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The Bridgerton spinoff will tell the story of how King George and the future Queen Charlotte met, fell in love, and ruled a country together.

Naturally like most arranged marriages of the time, their relationship starts off on rocky grounds as Charlotte doesn’t even meet the supposed King George right away. In fact, her attempt to climb over the wall is the first time she officially meets him, already surpassing her expectations as he is handsome and charming.

But being the kind, genuine man he is, he understands the awkwardness of the situation and simply asks her to get to know him. In the process, she’ll meet his demanding mother, but allies as well, such as the dutiful Brimsley and the loyal Lady Danbury.

Like every royal marriage, time leads to passion and love but drama as well. When it comes to ruling a country both King and Queen must also be husband and wife to each other.

When does Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premiere on Netflix?

Adding to all of this is the pressure for Charlotte to make her mark, not only for herself but others of her race and ethnicity. Fans of Bridgerton know that there is a true, deep love that Charlotte still feels for her husband, even in his unfortunate state.

It will be interesting to watch this love story unfold, as well as taking a peek into the early lives of Lady Danbury and the future Violet Bridgerton. While we wait for the premiere date of May 4, you can currently watch both seasons of Bridgerton on Netflix.
