The Last of Us receives 5 MTV Movie & TV Awards nominations
There is no doubt that HBO’s The Last of Us has proven that some videogame adaptations can, not only work but be successful as well. Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, both of Game of Thrones fame, as main characters Joel and Ellie, the two embark on a dangerous mission into a post-apocalyptic world.
As the two bond, the mission develops into something more, as they deal with the dangerous infected, and violent survivors. Ellie’s, as well as the world’s fate, rests in Joel’s hands as she has been lucky enough to have been bit and not turned.
However, Joel’s decision by the season 1 finale might have put saving the world on the back burner. How will his decision affect season 2?
Depending on how closely the next season will follow the videogame, the answer doesn’t have a good outlook for Joel. It’s no surprise that with all of the success The Last of Us has had, that the show is recognized for it.
