Stranger Things is the near-perfect combination of 80s nostalgia and horror. While at times it can become quite scary, the show never falls short of the humor, while emphasizing the power of friendship, and remembering the limitless possibilities of growing up in the suburbs.

For four seasons, the Netflix series, created by the Duffer Brothers, has entertained audiences, all while telling a compelling and unique story about a group of friends and their constant battle with the creatures that live in the Upside Down. But now the gripping story will be coming to a close in the fifth and final season.

This won’t be the end, as the Stranger Things universe is about to expand. It seems a Stranger Things animated series is in the works and the Duffer Brothers couldn’t be happier.

What’s next for Stranger Things?

Variety shared a statement by the duo in a recent article.

"“We’ve always dreamed of an animated ‘Stranger Things’ in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling. We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues…” -the Duffer Brothers"

As for when this animated series is projected to begin, what it will be about and who will be voicing the characters, your guess is as good as ours. But what we can tell you is that in the same article it has been revealed that, “Netflix announced plans for a live-action spinoff series and a stage show in July 2022, with the Duffers forming Upside Down Pictures at that time.”

That is a lot of Stranger Things content that we cannot wait to hear more about! We look forward to learning more and sharing our findings.

In the meantime, you can enjoy all four seasons of Stranger Things currently streaming on Netflix.
