Citadel is a new show on Amazon Prime Video that spy drama fans will love. It has a lot of action, adventure and is expected to be a big hit.

The first episode is very exciting and has lots of twists and turns in the plot. The characters are interesting and have their own stories that make them feel even more real.

The show looks really good too, with beautiful locations and exciting action scenes. Everything is well done and it’s a treat for the eyes.

There will be four spinoff Citadel shows with Amazon planning to make at least 9 seasons of the show. The cast is great, the plot is interesting, and it looks amazing.

Citadel Season 1 Episode 1 recap

In the first episode of Citadel, we’re introduced to Nadia Sinh, a secret agent with Citadel, who is on a mission to follow someone carrying a briefcase full of uranium. Her former partner, Mason Kane, joins her on the mission.

Things quickly turn chaotic, when they discover that their target is a trap set by Manticore, a rival spy agency. After a fight on the train, the target reveals that Manticore is in the final stages of destroying Citadel.

They show Sinh video footage of many Citadel agents getting murdered. Kane and Sinh fight off their rival agents, but a bomb explodes, derailing the train.

Fast forward eight years and Kane is living a peaceful life with his wife and daughter. However, he keeps having flashbacks of the train incident and wants to uncover the truth about his past.

Meanwhile, Dahlia Archer, a Manticore agent, is trying to obtain Citadel’s lost treasure trove of important intelligence. Bernard Orlick, Sinh and Kane’s handler torture Manticore agents for information.

When Kane’s DNA test triggers a ping, Orlick kidnaps him, his wife and his child, revealing the truth about Citadel, Manticore and Kane’s former partner. Orlick wants Kane’s help in retrieving nuclear codes stolen by the Silje brothers, promising to protect Kane’s family and help him uncover his past.

The episode ends with a flashback of Sinh emerging from a lake amidst the burning wreckage of the train.

The premiere episode is a thrilling and action-packed introduction to the series. It sets up the main characters, their relationships and the overall premise of the show, all while delivering plenty of suspense, intrigue and explosive action sequences.

Citadel Season 1 Episode 1 recap – How many episodes will see season 1 have?

Citadel’s debut season comprises of six episodes, with the first two episodes having been released simultaneously on April 28, 2023. Subsequent episodes are scheduled for weekly releases on Fridays.

Episode 3 is slated to release on May 5, episode 4 on May 12, episode 5 on May 19 and the season finale on May 26.
