Helen Mirren wows the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in more ways than one

1923 queen Helen Mirren showed up at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival with the grace, style, and class the always exudes from the beautiful dame. There for the Johnny Depp film Jeanne du Barry, her hair was colored to match her breathtaking blue dress.
Her look was complete by holding a fan displaying the words, “worth it.” At first glance, it looked like a controversial move against Johnny Depp, which seemed quite bold in the face of the actor.
The hashtag, #AmberIsWorthIt, has been used to support Amber Heard. Amber and Helen have worked together in the past, so fans’ assumptions began rather quickly.
Helen later admitted that was not the case when she addressed the media.
"”No secret message was intended. I am a L’Oreal ambassador, they are the sponsor of the festival, and quite truthfully, I picked up a fan because I was hot.”"

“Because you’re worth it”, is of course L’Oreal’s slogan. It was all a coincidence, but it took social media by storm over the fearless look of it.
This was Johnny Depp’s first big movie appearance since Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The film kicked off the festival but having Johnny as a lead is far from the most dramatic thing about this film.
Director Maïwenn recently assaulted a journalist due to a situation with her ex-husband. Jeanne du Barry follows the life of Jeanne Bécu, “the illegitimate daughter of an impoverished seamstress in 1743.”
She then went on to rise through the court of Louis XV. Despite all the controversy surrounding the film, Helen Mirren looked as radiant as ever.
