Apple TV’s The Crowded Room season 1, episode 4 recap: “London”

Danny arrives in London and goes to the Royal Travel Agency, where he thought his father worked. But he learns that his father never worked there.

Suddenly, Jack, his father’s old business partner, appears and recognizes Danny’s strong resemblance to Pete. Jack takes Danny to a bar and explains that Pete went his own way after a failed deal.

At the bar, Danny and Jack encounter a rude customer who insults Danny. Jack defends him and makes the customer apologize.

Meanwhile, Jack receives a private call from Yitzhak, who tells him to prepare Danny for the mission. This reveals that Danny is being used for hidden purposes, including the shooting of Marlin.

Danny shares this information with Professor Rya, exposing the schemes of Ariana, Jack, and Yitzhak.

Professor Rya questions if Danny’s story makes sense. She doesn’t realize that everything happening to Danny is too coincidental.

Jack offers Danny £3,000 to do a task for him. Danny just needs to ask Reggie Silver for money owed to Jack and Pete.

Jack can’t go himself, so he wants Danny to do it. Danny is tempted by the offer because the money would buy him more time to hide from the police in New York.

When Danny meets Reggie, he laughs and refuses to give him any money. Danny panics when he can’t find Jack anywhere.

He searches all the places they went the previous night and even calls the travel agency, but Jack is nowhere to be found. Eventually, Jack shows up in Danny’s hotel room and urges him to face the challenges ahead.

Danny decides to go back to New York. He goes to the boarding house but doesn’t find Yitzhak or Ariana there.

Shortly after, he gets arrested. Danny gets upset when Professor Rya accuses him again, of being the one behind everything.

He insists that he’s innocent and didn’t have anything to do with Ariana or Yitzhak’s disappearance. He sees himself as a victim in this situation.

In the next session, Professor Rya doesn’t find Danny but instead finds Jack, who has taken over temporarily. When Rya suggests telling the truth to Danny, Jack rejects the idea, fearing it would be catastrophic for Danny.
