Manifest season 4, episode 11 recap

Upon jumping forward in time 8 months, a tragic event called the “tristate fissure event” resulted in the deaths of over 700 people. Many now believe this event is connected to the missing Flight.

Cal, a survivor of the flight, is still experiencing troubling visions. After 8 months without them, his arm starts glowing blue again, indicating something important is about to happen.

However, Cal can’t remember his nightmares upon waking up. Michaela remains in a detention center with the other passengers, and they have gotten used to their restricted living conditions.

They are constantly subjected to experiments, but Saanvi does her best to help them. It’s heartbreaking to see the screens that separate the passengers from their loved ones during visitor hours.

One night, Michaela and Ben get a chance to escape when one of the passengers, Bethany, receives a calling that distracts the staff. They slip out through the backdoor, and Vance, who learns about Cal’s glowing arm, helps by covering for them.

The director of the detention center, Zimmer, refuses to discuss her project, but she also doesn’t ask about the two missing passengers. This works in Vance’s favor.

However, Zimmer authorizes an operation to capture the 13 passengers who are still missing, offering a reward for their capture.

Vance is concerned that this will attract dangerous individuals. When Zimmer leaves, Vance tells Saanvi about Michaela and Ben’s escape, and she pretends they are still there by scanning their registry seals.

At home, Michaela and Ben find that their children, Olive and Cal, have been working on the “callings” and collected evidence. They had to sell their car for money, so they seek help from Zeke’s mother to get a new one.

They learn that Bethany’s wife is in trouble and time is running out to help her. Cal gets another calling when he touches an apple and finds himself back on the plane.

He sees a bag of guns and a barn, where Georgia calls out for Bethany. Michaela and Ben go to Georgia’s place but find it ransacked by the authorities.

Cal shares his calling with the team, and they rush to an abandoned barn where they believe they can find answers. They encounter Billy, who threatens them with a gun, but Michaela manages to overcome him.

The authorities realize that Michaela and Ben have escaped and pursue them. Cal and Olive face questioning but realize they need to protect their loved ones and find a safe place to go.

Georgia reveals that she is part of a network helping the fugitive passengers with food and shelter. However, she was tricked by Billy, who wanted to claim the reward for capturing them.

Georgia gives her photo to Bethany. While Ben and Michaela navigate through an orchard, they discover a large imprint on the ground, suggesting a crashed plane.

Ben suspects the involvement of the NSA and decides they need to return to the detention center to resolve the situation. He plans to turn himself in to help strategize.

As Ben and Michaela are arrested, Vance arrives and warns Ben about trouble. Ben informs Vance about the apple orchard and the barn, indicating something significant has happened.

The episode ends with Vance going into the orchard alone and being shocked by what he sees. In a cliffhanger, it is revealed that Captain Daly has also been detained by Director Zimmer, who injects him with a sedative.

The fate of Captain Daly remains uncertain. “Final Descent” delivers an exciting and suspenseful episode, with the mystery surrounding Flight deepening.
