The Witcher season 3, episode 3 recap

At the beginning of the episode, Jaskier is preoccupied with thoughts of Radovid, but Geralt interrupts with urgent news about Teryn. Teryn, a half-elf under a powerful spell, claims to be Ciri.

This revelation strengthens Geralt’s determination to protect Ciri. He entrusts Teryn to Anika’s care and embarks on a journey to Aretuza.

Meanwhile, Yennefer also strives to ensure Ciri’s safety. She takes Ciri to Giancardi, a debtor who owes her money, hoping that he can offer assistance.

Yennefer holds a private meeting with Tissaia, unbeknownst to Ciri, and they discuss the urgency of the mage conclave’s intervention to prevent conflicts between the Northern Kings and the Brotherhood. Ciri finds herself in a precarious situation when she gets involved in a sideshow accident, where she is mistaken for a wyvern.

To compound matters, her money is stolen, leading her to seek Yennefer’s help. These events cause Ciri to question her support for the witches of Aretuza, feeling a conflict with her own values.

Meanwhile, Radovid learns the truth about Hedwig’s death but is unable to take substantial action. Rience, who initially believed Lydia was unrelated to Nilfgaard, begins to doubt her and desires greater control.

Gallatin unintentionally exposes Francesca’s defiance of Emhyr’s demands in the search for a girl who could potentially be Ciri. This prompts Cahir to commit a terrible act in his pursuit of favor from Emhyr.

Overwhelmed by guilt, Cahir shatters a mirror instead of facing his own reflection. Tensions escalate when Eredin, the leader of a mysterious group, approaches Ciri and invites her to join them, referring to her as “death itself.”

Fortunately, Geralt arrives just in time to rescue Ciri from this perilous situation. “Reunion” adds more complexity and excitement to The Witcher season 3.

Teryn’s claim to be Ciri creates confusion, but Geralt remains unwavering in his determination to protect her. With mind control, shifting alliances, and tragic consequences, the episode keeps us captivated and eager for more.
