Good Omens season 2: Sneak peek may hint at Crowley’s later actions
Is it possible for demons to have a midlife crisis? Well, according to a Good Omens season 2 sneak peek, it certainly could seem so.
In the released clip, audiences get to see Crowley lounging on a park bench alongside Hell’s representative in London. Crowley, looking far too distracted and disinterested, hardly pays attention to anything the representative has to say.
In fact, he becomes more invested in watching two men feeding ducks bread. He does tell, well, yell at them, to not do that however, Hell’s representative can tell she is not getting through to the once spunky and rebellious demon.
Crowley even asks her what the point of it all is. She attempts to give him more information about Hell, in which case, none of it interests him until she mentions something going on in heaven.
Good Omens season 2: A sneak peek into the new season
The scene cuts out but as we recall from the official trailer, she informs Crowley that archangel Gabriel is missing. In the same trailer we learn that Gabriel does show up to Aziraphale’s bookshop, but the archangel has amnesia.
However, the key thing to note is that it is Crowley’s idea that they continue to hide Gabriel until they figure out what is going on. His suggestion seems to lead to bigger issues that the duo undoubtedly caused.
Could it be that Crowley’s feelings of irrelevance lead him to making such a dangerous and reckless decision. Perhaps he wanted to do something productive and feel relevant once more.
We seem to think this is where the new season is going. Let’s not forget both he and Aziraphale tend to make many, often hilarious, mistakes in their pursuit of doing the right thing.
It all worked out in the end of season 1 so surely this will all work again, right? Right?
Good Omens season 2 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on July 28.
