The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: New teaser reveals ravaged Eiffel Tower
AMC has treated Walking Dead fans once again with another teaser for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Although this one is short, it does reveal some post-apocalyptic scenery, including that of a semi-destroyed Eiffel Tower.
While some can watch this 15-second teaser of the upcoming Walking Dead spinoff and find nothing substantial in it, we see otherwise. The entire teaser is Daryl on a boat, moving under several bridges and taking in the sights of Paris.
This is, no doubt, a place Daryl never expected to ever see in his lifetime. During the teaser we hear his voice telling whoever is listening, his name, and that if he doesn’t return, he tried his best.
What more could we expect of Dixon? As he observes Paris we note several things, most specifically, that it seems quiet and mostly intact.
What does Paris look like in the new The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon teaser?
What do we mean by that? Well, it seems all of the bridges remained untouched.
That’s not quite the case in places like New York City. Although the Eiffel Tower has taken some damage, it too remains intact and in far better condition than most of the skyscrapers we have seen in Dead City.
There doesn’t seem to be people, damaged vehicles, or mess of any kind. The fact that we do not even see one walker is also very telling.
Could it be that France, or more specifically Paris, had a better handle on the walkers before it went dark? You’d think Paris, like any major city, would look far worse than this.
Perhaps this will be part of the mystery yet to be solved until the spinoff airs. But what do you think?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premieres on AMC and AMC+ on September 10.
