The Walking Dead: The Rick and Michonne spinoff has an official title

Amongst the copious amounts of news surrounding the ever-growing world of AMC’s The Walking Dead, is the official title of the Rick and Michonne spinoff. For some time, fans had thought the title would be Summit, as this was the codename used during filming.

But it seems that is not the case. The new title of the Rick and Michonne spinoff is: The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

Hardcore fans know that this is a reference to a quote once spoken by Rick Grimes himself on The Walking Dead. It has been a line that has chilled fans to the bone and kept characters on the hit show going throughout the violent and unpredictable apocalypse.

Truthfully, it fits the overall tone of the spinoff, due to be released next year. Rick and Michonne are easily one of the most popular and unforgettable power couples of The Walking Dead Universe.

The Walking Dead: Rick and Michonne’s relationship

Their bond, even from the beginning, was something no one could ignore. They were loyal and honest with each other at all times, practically inseparable.

So, when their friendship evolved into a full-blown relationship, we couldn’t have been happier! The teaser, which reveals the new title and release date, decisively uses the colors red and white, with passionate narration and quick scenes of both characters as they fight to find each other.

For Rick, it seems he has been at the mercy of the CRM, who did both saved and destroyed his life. For Michonne, she had lived for years believing her love was gone, while carrying their child and leading the community.

For both of them, they never stopped hoping and believing they’d somehow be reunited. Now finally after all of these years, our King and Queen of the apocalypse will find each other.

How? That remains a mystery, but we’d love to hear your theories!
