The gang gives Tara and Darcy some space to talk. While they’re doing that, Nick tries to have a serious talk with Charlie. He wants Charlie to open up about the bullying he faced last year.

Charlie opens up about the severe impact of the bullying, how it caused him pain, and led him to hurt himself. Nick, taken aback and saddened, supports Charlie and pledges his unwavering presence by his side.

As the night comes to an end, Nick kisses Charlie goodnight and watches him leave. Charlie seems reassured by Nick’s words, but he hesitates before sending a text that says “I love you.”
