It seems The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon ratings has surpassed The Walking Dead: Dead City. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Daryl Dixon currently has an Average Score of 90%, with the Average Audience Score of 89%.

Although Dead City season 1 concluded some months ago, the current Average Score is 81%, with the Average Audience Score of 79%. It’s easy to see why audiences are loving both of these The Walking Dead spinoffs.

It also makes us wonder how Rick and Michonne’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will fare. We are currently two episodes in Daryl Dixon season 1 and already the show is proving to be both a visual art piece and grand epic tale combined.

Overview of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon thus far

Between the acting, music, setting, story and overall tone of this spinoff, we are more than pleased by the positive ratings. For those who need to catch up, our hero, Daryl Dixon, has washed ashore in France and finds himself tasked with transporting a young boy, Laurent, to the Nest.

It is believed by Isabelle (Laurent’s aunt) and her fellow nuns that he’s the Messiah and will change the world. Already Daryl is starting to like the boy, even though he doesn’t agree with the prophecy, nor does he agree with the fact Laurent remains unaware of his destiny.

Naturally, the walkers aren’t the only enemies Daryl will encounter, with the reoccurring villain being Codron, seeking revenge for his devastating loss in the opening episode. As Daryl, Isabelle and nun Sylvie travel the walker-ridden terrain of France northward, will our hero actually find a way back home?

Will we learn what happened prior to Daryl’s arrival to France? Will the group even make it to the Nest before the end of the season?

Continue watching with season 1 episode 3 airing on AMC September 24.
