Veruca is back which can only mean trouble for our heroes. In Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3 episode 11, Po and his friends must stop Veruca from obtaining the Tianshang weapons and save the world from destruction.

Will they be able to achieve victory, or will another seek the weapons for themselves? Let’s find out!

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 11 recap – The battle

With Veruca back, she’s more determined than ever to finally obtain the Tianshang weapons. The group decides to split up, each taking some of the weapons with them to where they can be destroyed.

Veruca sets her sights very quickly on Akna and Rukmini who have one of the storm wheels. Unfortunately for them, Veruca gets the weapon and makes her way to get the others, when she’s stopped by Wandering Blade.

The two are able to use the powers of the storm wheels and have a spectacular battle riding lightning bolts. As Wandering Blade distracts Veruca, Blade’s mother tries to place the helmet in its proper spot to be destroyed.

In the process, Veruca uses her weakness to her advantage and is able to possess all of the Tianshang weapons. She begins to bring back the army of the dead, which includes Master Mastodon and Alfie.

But as expected, Alfie is brainwashed like all the others and begins fighting his sister, Wandering Blade.

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 11 recap – Veruca’s death

As Blade refuses to fight her brother, Po tries to convince Veruca to change her ways. Veruca refuses, believing the Tianshang weapons are her birthright.

But perhaps the most important reason why she refuses to stop is to seek revenge for Klaus. She believed that Wandering Blade killed her brother, the only person who was ever there for her.

We are reminded of how Klaus was the one who broke Veruca out of prison, even though it took him many years to do so. Po explains to Veruca how Klaus is still alive.

Just when we think Veruca might be changing her mind, Alfie kills her! Yes!

Veruca is killed by Alfie’s sword, however the show doesn’t explain why. Was he faking being under Veruca’s control?

Did he snap out of it? Who knows!

What we do know is that Veruca is killed and the only person who seems remotely sad about it is Po. Keep in mind Po always tries to reason with the villains, even if it doesn’t work out.

With Veruca, the main threat gone for good, everything will work out now, right? Right?

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 11 recap – A new enemy?

As Klaus senses his poor sister is gone and Alfie reunites with his mother and sister, all seems well. Everyone gives Alfie the Tianshang weapons for him to destroy so that he could complete his final mission.

Only…Alfie doesn’t destroy the weapons. He puts all of them on and begins ranting about how the world needs to be fixed.

He believes that by using the weapons he can make the changes, he deems necessary, to fix the world.

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 11 review

So Veruca’s death was pretty violent. Okay so it’s not graphic but you know how she dies and its sudden and brutal.

The Kung Fu Panda franchise hasn’t strayed away from those type deaths before. I mean, just look at Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2.

Even his death can be viewed as brutal. With Veruca gone, I really don’t understand the point of why the show shoehorned in her being a descendant of the ancient masters.

Unless there is still a bigger reason to be made, perhaps on Klaus’ end, I just don’t see it. I really, and I do mean really, don’t know how I feel about Alfie’s role as the show’s new villain.

I’m confused as to whether this was his original plan all along or if this is the plan of this version of Alfie. This plot twist does explain the long episode count for the season.

But where does the show go from here? I really don’t know what to expect.
