Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 15 recap – Finding Klaus
With the gang back together, they need to find Klaus. They know he resides on Mage Island, but no one knows where it is considering all the lands are being pulled together for Alfie’s new Pangea.
The group did fail to include Colin, who does arrive and feels a little disappointed that he had been forgotten. Thankfully for them, Colin knows someone who knows where to find Mage Island.
The group meets this contact, who happens to be Weimin. Yes, Weimin has been constantly coming and going a lot this season.
It doesn’t take long for the kimono dragon to give the group the information they need, however, Alfie takes a special interest in him as well. By threatening his life, Alfie is able to learn that Po and the group are seeking Klaus.
He sends his dead soldier guards to follow them.
Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 15 recap – Mage Island
Po and the group do find Klaus on Mage Island, which has become a frozen and snowy landscape. As expected, Klaus isn’t willing to help, particularly arguing with Wandering Blade.
His is aware of his sister’s death and tries endlessly to convince our heroes that he can’t help. He doesn’t have powers, Veruca did.
But he is their last chance to destroying the Tianshang weapons for good. As Alfie’s dead soldier guards emerge on the island, Klaus is tricked into coming out from hiding upon hearing Veruca.
When he does see her, she too is a dead soldier and ready to attack! Together the group does defeat Veruca and the rest of the dead soldiers.
It is then up to Mr. Ping and pirate Queen Forouzan to complete the plan.
Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 15 recap – The distraction
Yes, our romantic duo is going to partake in the grand plan. As our heroes need to communicate with the ancient masters and find a way to defeat Alfie, they’ll need a distraction.
The distraction: Forouzan meets with the Queen of England, while Mr. Ping meets with the Emperor of China, to recommend that they need to go to war with each other.
Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight season 3, episode 15 review
This episode picks up the energy and action that the previous episode lacked. It is humorous to see that Colin is still seen as an outsider with the group, while also shedding his cold and hard demeanor.
It just constantly reassures me that he is the best character of the series. Finding Mage Island as a snowy landscape is clever and works with the story.
It continues to be reminiscent of our own global warming concerns, as these drastic changes tend to happen over time, as opposed to suddenly all at once. Seeing dead ghost Veruca was very eerie, adding almost a horror movie element to the episode.
At the same time, it’s heartbreaking. Although Klaus and Veruca began as cruel and violent villains, you still tend to feel sorry for Klaus for losing the one person who mattered most to him.
The fact that his character arc is evolving is an added bonus. But if he doesn’t have any powers, how will he be able to contact the ancient masters?
