Amazon Prime Video: Fallout TV show release date!
The world of video game adaptations is slowly expanding, with the newest installment being the extremely popular, Fallout. While some video game adaptations fail, others rise and shake up the world of television.
The most recent, successful video game adaptation is HBO’s The Last of Us. Season 1 was deemed such a success that it received countless award nominations and wins and got the green light for season 2.
Currently, we have yet to learn whether Peacock TV’s Twisted Metal will be renewed for season 2, although according to Rotten Tomatoes, it received an average score of 68%, with the audience average score of 94%. Could we be seeing a season 2 announcement soon?
Fallout: Who is Vault Boy?
Amazon Prime Video’s official Twitter account shared the news that Fallout will be premiering on April 12, 2024, the only way they knew how, via a Fallout computer. The screen reveals some details such as the copyright year of 2075, but perhaps most importantly, the familiar face of Vault Boy!
You know, Vault Boy, who looks like a younger version of the Monopoly game mascot Milburn Pennybags. Vault Boy is actually a mascot himself of the Vault-Tec Corporation.
You can learn all about his history within the Fallout video game franchise here. There are currently 8 Fallout games in the franchise, that take place in post-apocalyptic America.
The history is extensive but thankfully GameRant has compiled every Fallout game into a chronological order list, for those who want to know more before the TV show airs next year. We are curious if Fallout can live up to The Last of Us level of expectations.
