Blue Bloods

After fourteen seasons and nearly 300 episodes, Blue Bloods‘ time on CBS is coming to an end and it’s news that is honestly so hard to believe. Even after all of these years, Blue Bloods remains one of CBS’s most-watched dramas, and fans are just as in love with the show today as they were when it first premiered back in 2010.

The good news is that CBS is going to give Blue Bloods a proper sendoff giving the show an 18-episode final season which will be split into two parts. The first part of the season will air this spring on CBS beginning with the season 14 premiere on February 16, 2024. CBS will then bring fans another eight episodes in the fall as the show signs off the air for good.

SWAT

Sadly, Blue Bloods won’t be the only Friday night drama signing off the airwaves in 2024. After seven seasons, SWAT will be coming to a close in early 2024.

While it’s bittersweet to see the show coming to a close, the fact that we’re actually going to get a proper final season is reason enough to celebrate. As fans will recall, CBS canceled SWAT unexpectedly but the vocalness of the fans and stars led them to reconsider the decision not to give the show a final season.

So while it’s going to be hard to say goodbye to Hondo and the team, we’re happy to be able to see the show go out on its own terms with a planned ending.
