2023 was an unforgettable year, especially for the world of television. Which is why when we discovered that Gen V and The Bear were some of IMDb’s top series of the year worldwide, we were pretty excited.

Gen V, the Amazon Prime Video spinoff of The Boys, aired season 1 a few months ago and it is already renewed for season 2. The spinoff followed several superpowered humans as they attended Godolkin University, a place where the students can train and learn to use their unique powers and abilities.
Of course, there is always more going on than what is revealed to the students. Beware of The Woods…
Huge reveals flipped the story upside down, not just for the next generation of possible supes but for Homelander and the remainder of The Seven. We are curious how certain events will affect The Boys season 4.
What other shows made IMDb’s list alongside Gen V and The Bear?
Hulu’s The Bear returned for season 2 and yes has been renewed for season 3. Season 2 continued the tale of several characters and their involvement with the restaurant The Bear.
From relationships to work, each character found themselves in some pretty interesting situations. But the overall highlight of the season was the successful opening night for the restaurant.
Gen V ranked at #10 with The Bear ranking at #9 on the IMDb Top Series of 2023 Worldwide list. Other shows on this list include, not surprisingly, The Last of Us, The Mandalorian and Succession.
