We have reached the final episode of Below, where all the answers to the various mysteries will be revealed. In the penultimate episode, we met a new villain when Calvin washed ashore and reunited with an old friend, who has since been using the giant squid, otherwise known as Mudder, to his advantage. Back at home, the resettlement is moving forward with scary consequences.
Below episode 6 opens with Calvin and Wade in the middle of the ocean in the morning after escaping Walton's clutches. He apologizes to Wade for not allowing him to work on the boats, admitting his mistake. Snook's Arm has devolved into chaos as soldiers help evacuate locals. As it turns out, Jan is Jim Crocker's daughter and has had ulterior motives this whole time.
Apparently, the squid went on a rampage the night before. Calvin and Wade carefully approach the iceberg, where the squid sidles up underwater. The Penney family finally reunites as Calvin and Wade make it back home. Fonda's pulled into a meeting with the Crockers and the military planning the evacuation as the Penneys gather personal items before following evacuation orders.

Calvin's family comes up with a plan
Fonda briefs the soldiers on what she knows about the squid and her aggression stemming from the waters being too warm for her eggs to survive. They're planning to bomb the squid, but Fonda tries to talk them out of destroying such an interesting creature. Crocker promises that Fonda will receive the remains in order to study the squid. Meanwhile, Calvin reveals what the Crockers are after.
As the Penney family is forced to evacuate their home, Noah notices that Wade is wearing the ring meant for Mary. The family gathers in the helicopter, but Calvin decides to stay back to fight this, and Wade opts to join his father. One by one, the rest file out of the helicopter, leaving Mary and Noah behind. Calvin and Wade sneak into the back of Fonda's truck to make it past the guards.
Calvin comes up with the idea to move the iceberg and the squid before they can follow through with the airstrike. Thankfully, he has his whole family, including Mary and Noah now, to help with the mission at hand. Jan pokes around Calvin's house and finds the mining report. She also knows that he made it out of the evacuation zone. Jim clearly has no problem getting rid of Calvin.

How Calvin saves the squid and the ending twist
Wade gives Mary her ring as they keep an eye on the squid and shoot at the iceberg. Mary takes the shot that brings the iceberg down and crumbles it into pieces in the ocean. The Crockers and the soldiers watch the iceberg crumble in shock. Calvin rides out into the harbor to wrap a net around the iceberg in order to move it as planned. Finally, he's able to pull the iceberg behind his boat.
Jim and Jan confront Fonda for helping Calvin move the iceberg and squid into deeper waters, but they water her to stop Calvin from interfering with a military operation. Fonda refuses and Jim threatens her job, but she doesn't want to take their money. Jan approaches her to steal her radio, but Fonda slaps Jan to the ground.
Calvin brings stops at deeper waters and speaks to the squid before cutting the ropes of the net. Unfortunately, a helicopter arrives to strike down the iceberg. Jim demands the military officer to make the call to strike it down even with Calvin in the strike zone. But he goes against Jim's orders and tells his men to stand down because the squid no longer poses a threat to the harbor.
After cutting the rope, the squid looks at Calvin from the surface of the water, mirroring the look she gave him 40 years ago. With that, Calvin rides away. Eventually, the squid passes away after releasing her eggs. Fonda studies them even though none of the eggs survived in the warm waters. The next year, Calvin has opened the Big Squid Distillery and Brewing company. Sparks also appear to be flying between Calvin and Fonda. Wade captains the boat with Calvin as they happen upon another iceberg.
