Lupin finally figures out who's been framing him in season 4, episode 3 of Netflix's Lupin.

Lupin and Guedira try to convince the police chief that he's being framed by showing her Adele's deepfake technology. She agrees to stop pursuing Assane as a suspect but says he'll have to work with the police to help them catch Adele. He refuses until he learns they have his son Raoul in custody.

Raoul worries that his father has put himself in danger by coming to see him, but Guedira assures him that Assane is innocent. They then discuss how Raoul got arrested.

The young man was angry and disappointed after being kicked out of his dad's shop, so he went for a walk. He stumbled upon a bookstore advertising Arsene Lupin books and decided to throw a rock through the window. The police officer who surveilled him tried to stop him, but he punched him in the face.

Lupin feels bad and says he should have explained what was going on to Raoul. He tells his son that he will get him out of jail, and the two bump fists through the jail cell door.

Lupin returns to the police chief to try to convince her to let Raoul go, but she refuses. That is, until Lupin offers his expertise on the Adele Kapoor case. Only then will the chief dismiss the charges. Lupin agrees, and he and Guedira get to work.

Who is Adele Kapoor?

They learn that Adele hacked into the UK's DNA database but seemingly made a mistake. She left a breach in her algorithm that the police can use to reverse-engineer it. However, Lupin notes that it's unlike Adele to make a mistake. He tries to stop the police from messing around with her code, but it's too late. Adele has already accessed their system.

Elsewhere, Ben and Claire argue about his support for Assane. Ben says he wanted to protect Claire, but she makes it clear that she doesn't like being lied to. Ben says he won't lie to her again.

Meanwhile, Lupin meets with Adele's mother to learn more about her. Her mom says she adopted Adele when she was two and that the young woman has always been bright. However, Adele's obsession with Arsene Lupin (and Assane) started recently.

Afterwards, Lupin shares a new theory he has about Adele with Guedira. In order to steal his moves, Adele had to steal his tools too. As a result, she also stole his suppliers. One of them is named Wagner. To confirm, the two track down Wagner's right-hand man, who promises to tell them where he is if it means he won't go to jail.

Back at the station, Claire confronts Assane about the case. She blames him for everything that has happened to their family, including her near-death experience. She says he's chaotic and that he needs to find a solution. Assane reassures her he's here to stay, and the two share a hug while Ben watches.

Assane Diop reclaims his life

While Guedira questions Wagner, Lupin disguises himself as the man's lawyer and interrupts the interrogation. He tells Wagner that Adele sent him to make sure he doesn't talk to the police. To ensure he doesn't, Lupin "breaks" Wagner out of jail.

During the escape, Wagner lets slip that Adele is going to rob the Everlin. She plans to take whatever's in the store's safe while it's in transit. Armed with new information, Lupin takes Wagner back to the station, where the police arrest him. Again.

At the same time, Raoul gets a new cellmate who appears to have serious stomach pain. He calls for help, but no one answers. Later, he helps the man escape from their cell but stays behind.

Elsewhere, Lupin and Guedira try to convince Signor Imbert of the Everlin that his safe will be robbed. Imbert is uncomfortable working with Lupin given their sordid history but eventually reveals that his store has the Francois I diamond. Adele needs the diamond to find the treasure of the kings of France.

Imbert says the diamond is being transferred that day for an unveiling at the Opera-Comique. Guedira wants to call off the event, but Lupin thinks they should use the diamond as bait to catch Adele.

During the operation, Assane takes the diamond and leads Adele and the police on a chase through Paris. She catches up to him, and the two thieves fight for the diamond. Eventually, Assane comes out ahead, but Adele catches him off guard when she reveals that she's a Pellegrini.

While Assane processes the news, Adele tries to leave but falls off her motorcycle. The police then come and arrest her and eventually release Raoul back into the custody of his father.

Afterwards, Assane calls Juliette to tell her about Adele's arrest. But Juliette surprises him with news of her own: Adele is Assane's daughter.
