Legendary actress Catherine O’Hara will be lighting up the silver screen in 2024 with roles as Ruth in Argylle and Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. 2024 is about to get even brighter for this Emmy Award-winning actress. After being in talks with The Last of Us, it is now confirmed that O’Hara will be joining Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in an undisclosed role.
This won’t be the first time a comedic actress joins an apocalyptic show. In season one, Melanie Lynskey, famous for her comedic performance in Two and a Half Men, guest starred on the show in a role that left everyone in awe with her masterful performance as Kathleen Coghlan. It’s also not O’Hara’s first time at HBO, as she starred in three seasons of Six Feet Under.
O’Hara is most notable for her role as Moira Rose in the hugely popular sitcom Schitt’s Creek, which she won an Emmy and Golden Globe for. Of course, none of us can forget her role as Kate McCallister in Home Alone.
Filming for part 2 of The Last of Us begins this month in Vancouver. O’Hara is confirmed for the hit series but HBO is keeping a lid on what her role will be. But, if there is one thing we know about this phenom is she will absolutely kill the role.
The Last of Us has already been a breeding ground for marvelous guest star performances. Nick Offerman and Storm Reid are just coming off their wins for the Primetime Emmy Awards. A gift like Catherine O’Hara in the mixed company of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey cannot be missed.
You can stream The Last of Us on Max now with a subscription. Plans are $9.99 a month or $15.99 a month with an ad-free package. Don’t miss your chance to catch up before season 2 airs.
