If you happened to have watched last night's Superbowl LVIII, you may have come across the teaser for the third Deadpool film, which as of now seems to be titled Deadpool & Wolverine. In the violent, raunchy, and vulgar trailer, which is right on the money for anything Deadpool-related, a familiar group makes themselves known almost immediately: the TVA.

In the teaser, Wade Wilson is celebrating his birthday with friends and his true love Vanessa. Although there are hints that their relationship is on the rocks, perhaps troubles with getting pregnant and starting a family, he is happy to celebrate.

Upon making his birthday wish and blowing out the candles, the TVA shows up and Wade is sent to their headquarters. There he meets a TVA agent who unveils the MCU, where Wade believes he's destined to save it.

Who is the TVA?

From there we see him get suited up, battle more TVA agents, an appearance from Doctor Doom, and, of course, the promise of Wolverine's arrival. For those who are unfamiliar with the TVA, they are the Time Variance Authority, introduced in the Disney Plus Marvel series Loki.

They are the sole protectors of the sacred timeline, where if even one thing is left unchecked, it could mean the end of existence itself. For two seasons, Marvel supervillain turned hero, Loki worked with TVA agent Mobius, his variant Sylvie, and others, with a season 2 finale so good we don't want to spoil it.

But feel free to read our Loki season 2 recaps to find out. Considering Wade was messing with time at the end of Deadpool 2, thanks to a device from Cable, which includes him completely killing off his terrible portrayal from 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it would make sense for the TVA to be quite unhappy with him.

But what could Wade do to improve his situation? Is he really the answer to the TVA's problems?

And while we are on the subject of the TVA, which TVA even is this? Is this the TVA that existed before Loki arrives, after Sylvie kills He Who Remains or the one that currently exists that Loki helped save?

Haven't seen the teaser? You can watch it below and start theorizing what is going to happen, why, and how it will affect the MCU.
