Tonight the world will take a stroll down memory lane as General Hospital celebrates its 60th episode on ABC at 10PM ET / 9PM CT. The special will take a look back at the wonderful years of its cast, crew, and all the big-time stars who have walked through the door and shared an impact in Port Charles to the stars who still remain there to this day.

Not to mention the fabulous storytelling of gifted writers, who have brought some of the most incredible heart-wrenching stories to the fold of the soap opera world.

Who are some famous celebrity stories we might see tonight?

How has General Hospital changed your life? Whether you are an avid long-time fan, an old fan, or a returning one, General Hospital has all touched our lives in some way.

It could be that of a star who crossed its doors even. You would be surprised about the amount of success stories.

Many people do not realize this is where legends like Liz Taylor got their start when she played the infamous Helena Cassadine. A few other big names to add to the list is, of course, John Stamos from Full House who played Blackie Parrish and Meghan Markle, who briefly played a nurse named Jill.

Mark Hamill, who went on to take the role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, played Kent Murray in the series and Demi Moore played journalist Jackie Templeton back in the '80s. Before Eva Longoria’s time on Desperate Housewives, she had a short stint on General Hospital as well.

James Franco played the villain Franco and who can forget Ricky Martin? Talk about wonderful eye candy in the '90s, who played a bartender named Miguel.

It was a short-lived role, but he was part of one of the most famous storylines in General Hospital’s history. While those are all household names, one of the greatest success stories is that of Jonathan Jackson who played Lucky Spencer.

Jackson won a total of 5 Daytime Emmys and went on to have a stellar career in entertainment in projects like The Deep End of the Ocean and the hit series Nashville. 60 years is a huge accomplishment for any show, especially now that so many other soap operas have been taken off the air.

Believe it or not, General Hospital used to be a baby compared to some of the other long-running dramas. Fans and viewers will get to take a look back on the journey that got us here.

The past, the present, and the future of ABC’s long-standing daytime drama, which has brought love, many accolades, and many bonds that will never be broken. While Guiding Light holds the record of the longest-running soap opera in history, due to its start on the radio, General Hospital is the longest running television daytime drama.

We all have the fortunate opportunity to see the journey that made the show so exceptional. So much so that this past year they came home with the Daytime Emmy win for Best Daytime Drama once again.

If nostalgia is something you are missing, this will be quite the historic special for you. The actors will be speaking directly to the camera, talking about the history, old clips, and commentary that will date all the way back to the '60s for those of you who were there or remember those storylines.

So, tune in tonight at 10PM ET on ABC Networks to share in the glory of Port Charles from start to finish.
