As of early 2024, True Detective: Night Country is one of the best TV shows on right now. The series premiered on HBO and MAX on Jan. 14, 2024. There are six episodes in the season, and the season finale is scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb. 18. You have plenty of time to catch up and watch the series live!
True Detective: Night Country is the fourth season of the franchise. It features a whole new cast. There could be some callbacks to the earlier seasons, but this season stands alone and is not connected to the others.
Night Country is set in a remote Alaska town during its dark season when the sun never rises and it's dark all day and night. When a group of scientists go missing and are found dead, two detectives, Chief Liz Danvers (Foster) and Trooper Evangeline Navarro (Reis), try to find out what happen, who is responsible, and how it connects to other crimes in the area.
If you're looking for a new mystery to watch on HBO and Max, you can't go wrong with True Detective: Night Country.
