True Detective: Night Country premiered on HBO and MAX on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024. New episodes drop every Sunday on HBO. If you're a fan of dark crime dramas and murder mysteries, True Detective: Night Country is definitely the show for you!

True Detective: Night Country is set in a small Alaska town. The main crime involves the disappearance of a group of scientists and researchers and the investigation by Detective Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Detective Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis). It's clear that there's more going on in this mystery than originally suspected.

This is the fourth season of True Detective, in total. Of the first three seasons, the first and third are easily the best. Those are the seasons nominated for most of the show's awards. This is easily one of the best anthology series of the last decade. We highly recommend tuning in weekly for this new season. It looks really promising!

It's unclear what's next for the True Detective franchise. Hopefully, we don't have to wait too long until season 5, but it's probably going to be a while!
