True Detective: Night Country continues this evening with its third episode, and after the cliffhanger that last week's episode ended on, it looks like the investigation has taken a turn. Now, Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Navarro (Kali Reis) have a suspect on the loose and I'm sure they won't be sleeping until he's found. The acclaimed HBO anthology series returned this month after five years, introducing us to a new mystery in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska.

This season follows the case of missing scientists who were conducting research at the Tsalal Research Station in Alaska, found in the second episode dead and frozen out in the snow. As the investigation evolves, we learn more about the researchers and their connection to a woman named Annie who was murdered years ago. Former colleagues who are now enemies, Danvers and Navarro must put their differences aside for the sake of the investigation, and the complexities of their relationship plagued by something that happened in their past are slowly by surely uncovered.
