After Eddie's attack and Susie's secret change of profession with Joe, The Gentlemen season 2 pushed both characters into something of a new era leading up to the finale. Eddie found his resolve to push forward despite his debts, which includes getting engaged to Bella, while Susie took down Joe after his betrayal almost got her killed and struck out on her own. See? A new era.

The Gentlemen season 2 episode 6 begins with Eddie and Freddy finally reuniting and catching up, which includes Eddie breaking the news of his engagement and asking Freddy to be his Best Man. Freddy turns down the offer because he's still holding onto anger for his brother. Meanwhile, Eddie and his family quickly jet off to Italy for the big day.

The day before the wedding, Eddie meets with Moretti, who gifts him an antique map, and they talk over the terms of their new deal. Eddie calls Ahmed to ask him to do a background check on Angelica Marino. Charly asks Eddie if there's something holding him back or if marrying Bella is part of some kind of duty. She also alludes to the fact that she thought he would end up with Susie.

Tancredi ends up on the wrong side of Eddie's anger

During the pre-wedding festivities, Eddie winds up in a conversation with a man named Tancredi, who refers to Bella as "popular." Eddie doesn't taking a liking to Tano, who teases secrets and reeks of jealousy. Eddie asks Moretti about Angelica, and Moretti brings up Susie, suggesting that he's worried about potential competition. Speak of the devil, Susie arrives at the wedding festivities.

Susie pulls Eddie aside for a private conversation, and she asks how he knew that Bella was the one. He "had a revelation" when he was fighting for his life crawling out of his grave. She asks more directly about whether he's going against the non-compete clause in his contract with her father, but he insists he's looking at a bigger picture. They share a tense exchange of "be careful" before parting.

Tano comes onto Bella and tries to kiss her, leading one of her friends to hit him. He tries to swing on her before being pulled away by Jack, leading to a much larger fight. Eddie didn't witness any of it, and when Bella tells him Tano was involved, Eddie feels anger. He visits Tano in his hotel room and asks him to publicly apologize. He does, but he doubles down and calls Bella a wh-re.

Eddie punches Tano and he falls backward, hitting his head on the coffee table and immediately dying. He rushes out of the hotel room as blood pools underneath the man's head. On the morning of the wedding, Eddie begins his day with breakfast with Moretti, who informs him that he sent his men to "take care" of Tano and they removed his body. Bella also forces Eddie to go to Confession.

He instantly admits to the priest that he killed a man a night before as well as the rest of the men he's killed since he got into the business he's in and as a soldier. Eddie uses his knowledge of scripture to confuse the priest. Before the wedding, Nanny tells Charly that he discovered one of the estate's secret weed farms and caught police photographing guests' license plates.

Eddie and Bella's marriage begins with tragedy

Nanny asks point blank what kind of business her family is involved in, but she confirms his fears without explicitly admitting it with words. Susie meets with Moretti before the wedding and ends up having a chat with Bella, who admits she thought there was something between her and Eddie. She denies it and also quells her concerns about Eddie's intentions.

Angelica confronts Eddie about killing Tancredi and asks him to tell Moretti he wants the money go through Hong Kong instead of London. She threatens him with Tano's body coming back to haunt him if he doesn't. Susie takes a temperature check with Moretti about the future of their working relationship as well as with Eddie, but he can't guarantee what Eddie might do.

Eddie counters Angelica's threat with the revelation that he knows she and her husband are skimming money, effectively ensuring that Tano's body will be dumped and the money will run through London. Susie, who's wearing a white dress to the wedding, talks to Eddie as he walks into the church. She expresses her worries that he's ambitious and has the potential to become a monster.

The priest Eddie confessed his sins to is performing the ceremony and tells Eddie he will pray for him. Susie leaves the wedding before it's finished, which Eddie notices. He and Bella marry without incident (who else was worried about a Red Wedding?) and after consummating their marriage, Bella admits that she knows the marriage is good for his career but doesn't mind. He denies her claim.

Susie checks in with her dad about her concerns that Eddie could be an issue and he asks her to return home. Bella and Eddie decide to race to their honeymoon location with Eddie driving her car and Bella taking the plane. Unfortunately, her plane blows up and crashes right in front of Eddie's car. He exits and runs toward the crash, devastated and in shock. Was the explosion meant for him?
