Following the jaw-dropping ending of the previous episode, The Gentlemen season 2 is off to the races in the lead up to the finale. Going into the penultimate episode, the chessboard has gotten quite the shuffle in the wake of the tragic ending of Eddie's wedding to Bella. Was she the actual target of the explosion, and who was responsible for the plane going down?
The Gentlemen season 2 episode 7 begins with a look back at Eddie and Bella happily leaving the church after their wedding before the story returns to the day after the wedding. Eddie's family returns home to the estate, still unaware of what has happened. Nanny practically asks Geoff to leave, which makes Sabrina and Charly feel awkward considering the secret they're keeping.
Geoff is wary when he realizes that a gate leading to his house was left open. Later than night, the family worries when they can't get any reception in the estate. While Geoff's friend George hunts a fox in the woods, he spots a mystery man peeing through his sniper lens. He alerts Geoff that there are trucks nearby. Geoff grabs weapons and heads to the estate.
Tarquin gets kidnapped and Geoff leads the charge
As he drives to the house, more mystery men are keeping a close watch on him. Nanny rebuffs the fact that Geoff has returned, and in that moment, the power goes out. A team of armed men make their way toward the house in pursuit of "the basket." Geoff gives Nanny a gun and instructs him to lead Sabrina, Charly, and the baby off the premises in the armored car.
Geoff uses the sound of the shower running to lure one of the men to him. He kills that man, then heads to the hall to kill another. He steals that man's comms to listen in on the rest of the team's whereabouts in the estate. Nanny and Charly quietly make their way through the house with a sleeping Tarquin. They create a diversion to distract a man outside and kill him.
When they hear gunfire inside, Nanny rushes back in to help save Geoff, Sabrina, and Mr. Lawrence, who gets shot. Thankfully, they're all able to make it into the armored car and race away. However, Charly realizes that the men have kidnapped Tarquin. Geoff radios George for assistance as he and Nanny head back into the woods to get Tarquin back.
Susie accuses Bobby of being involved in Bella's death
Geoff, George, and Nanny unite and watch the team of mean holding Tarquin. While Charly and Sabrina sit in the car, one of the gunmen stands right in front of them. Charly turns the car on and speeds forward to run the gunmen over. To be sure she killed him, she keeps driving back and forth over his body. Geoff finally seizes the moment for the three of them to take on the rest.
Nanny gets shot in the leg during the shootout, but the group appears to have taken out all but one of the enemies. The last one standing heads into the woods with Tarquin, but Geoff tracks him on foot. Finally, Geoff has the man cornered in his house. The man demands keys, and while Geoff walks away to get them, he signals his dog to attack. Then, he's able to shoot and kill the man.
After that situation is resolved, we meet back up with Susie, who's back in the sauna with her father. She breaks the news of Bella's death, and he's either a very good actor or had nothing to do with the explosives on the plane. She asks Bobby point blank whether he had anything to do with the explosion with the intention of killing Eddie. Meanwhile, Eddie has gone into hiding. Wherever he is, he fights back against gunmen, killing them all. Finally, Bobby has a secret to share with Susie.
