After months of anticipation for Hudson Williams' first major performance following his breakout role in Heated Rivalry, it's finally time for Yagaween. The witchy new series Yaga arrives just in time for the height of spooky season. Whether you have been looking forward to the series since its announcement or have been looking for something chilling to watch, you're in the right place.
Based on Kat Sandler's play of the same night, the playwright adapts her modern retelling of the Baba Yaga folklore for the small screen, turning it into an eight-episode murder mystery that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. In the series billionaire heir Henry Park (Hudson Williams) goes missing, causing a dangerous unraveling of unexpected secrets in the small town of Whittock.
Sergeant Carson (Clark Backo) teams up with Detective Rapp (Noah Reid) to untangle the mystery, which leads them to the alluring college professor Katherine Hargrove (Carrie-Anne Moss). But when are new episodes of Yaga released on Crave in Canada and AMC+ in the United States, and what can viewers expect from the content of the show? We're sharing a preview and what to know below!

Yaga releases new episodes weekly on Fridays
As previously announced, Yaga premieres on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026 with a two-episode premiere. The first two episodes will be available on the show's premiere date with the remaining six episodes to be released weekly. While episodes 3 through 6 will be released one per week, the finale boasts another two-episode drop and will stream on Friday, Nov. 27.
The series, which is a half-hour drama, releases new episodes on AMC+ at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Fridays, which isn't the most convenient time to stay up and watch for those particular time zones. Crave will likely drop the episodes at 12 a.m. ET / 9 p.m. PT and is a bit more convenient. But at least new episodes will be available ASAP on Friday mornings to watch whenever we're ready. Unfortunately, we'll have to dodge spoilers online until we get the chance to sit and watch.
Currently, Yaga has been confirmed to be available in a select number of territories around the world as of the premiere date. Here's where to watch the series in your part of the world:
- Canada: Crave
- United States: AMC+
- United Kingdom and Ireland: Sky
- Rest of Europe: HBO Max
- Australia: Foxtel
- New Zealand: Sky New Zealand

Yaga earns a TV-MA rating for sex, nudity, and more
Those going into the mystery thriller/supernatural horror series without much knowledge might be wondering exactly what the vibe will be. Thankfully, the trailer and first-look images offer a pretty good taste of what we can expect from the show and its tone, and the cast and creator calling it "horny" also paints a rather blunt picture of the content heading for our screens.
If you read Sandler's play, then you also have an idea of the kind of storytelling Yaga will bring. AMC+ has given the show a TV-MA age rating, while Crave has given its equivalent age rating of 18+ for instances of violence, language, nudity, and mature themes. Being so, we can anticipate graphic depictions of the aforementioned categories, especially sex and nudity.
Even though it's difficult to provide content warnings for the full season of a show that airs weekly, knowing that the play delves into a potentially triggering storyline involving sexual assault is enough to give views an advanced warning. There are likely other imagery, topics, and themes that viewers could find triggering, so be sure to proceed with caution.
Yaga's anticipation from Hudson Williams fans (guilty!) all year long hasn't been for nothing. The actor has already been receiving rave reviews for his dual role as Henry Park and Logan Casey, and his incredible co-stars have also been earning well-deserved praise. If you have finished binge-watching Carrie and Crystal Lake, your next spooky season obsession has arrived.
