True Detective Casting: Angie Harmon Wants a Role in Season 2
By Josh Hill
The second season of HBO’s True Detective is still under considerable wraps but the casting rumors have been swirling like never before. Fans of the show are hungry for any information they can get and while series creator Nic Pizzolatto basically said everything we think about the show and the rumors surrounding it are false, it seems that whenever someone remotely famous mentions a love for the show we instantly put them in line for a possible role.

There are varying degrees to this as well, as we heard Gary Oldman mention a love for the show the other day while we similarly have heard television actress Angie Harmon mention a love for the show too. But where Oldman was only stating a love for the show, Harmon mentioned that she wants a role on the series in the second season.
Harmon may not be the best choice for a role on the show, but it’s nice to see that actors and actresses are at least enthusiastic about wanting to be in the series. Then again, who wouldn’t want the role that made someone like Matthew McConaughey into a serious and critically acclaimed actor?
