Emmy Awards 2014: True Detective nominated for Best Drama

The Emmy Awards are next month which means the nominations being announced this morning are the final step before we learn who turned in the best of the best in the world of television last season.

What we all wanted to know was who from True Detective would get nominated and would the show itself make the final cut and be nominated as a Best Drama series? The odds were in True Detective’s favor but their antics at skipping out of the Best Miniseries or Movie category to go for Best Drama series may have rubbed people the wrong way.
