The second season of True Detective found it’s lead roles this week, but not everyone is excited about who was chosen to lead the cast into a new season of the show. Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn don’t have what you’d define as the most pristine of track records, but the duo have landed top billing on True Detective.

Just like every other time in movie and television history when an unconventional casting decision is made, fans are getting creative with who they react to the news. A user on True Detective Reddit took the time to troll Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell hard after they were chosen as two of the four leads for this new season of True Detective.

Vaughn is the target of most of these trolling efforts by fans, as he;s not the choice fans envisioned when a True Detective cast was being pulled together. Still, if Vaughn ends up working out, it wouldn’t be the first time that fans were wrong about their initial predictions on an actor.
He’s inspired casting, to say the least, but we should probably reserve judgement until the performance on his part is turned in.
