Elisabeth Moss sounds really sick of ‘100 percent false’ True Detective rumors

True Detective is ready to begin production on its second season this month, but even with the four leads already filled there are still big names getting kicked around.

One of the original names that was kicked around belonged to Elisabeth Moss but she has distanced herself from those rumors. But now that her name is still getting mentioned in rumors, the actress is putting her foot down.
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Moss sounded like she has had about enough of the True Detective rumors involving her.
"“Literally, someone turned around to me in a car and got an email and was like, ‘Are you on True Detective?’ And I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I was like, ‘No. I don’t think so.’ And I had to go ask my team, ‘What’s happening with this? Is this, like, a thing?’” she said with a laugh while promoting her new film Listen Up Philip. “It’s totally just a rumor. Actors are talked about when you’re casting something. But everybody knew far more about this than I ever did. I had to go ask! Like, I read the article and had to go ask my team. So it’s 100% a rumor.”"
It’s pretty obvious at this point that Moss will not be on True Detective this season, especially with a role on Broadway in her near future.
