True Detective Mashed Up With Magnum P.I. Opening Credits (Video)

With True Detective’s castin search now over, the show has left fans in a lull as the void of not having the show in our lives is being stuffed with parody after parody. While mostly all of them are redundant, a few haves stood out and a couple of the video mashup spoofs have stuck out as being pretty clever and well done.

One of those video mashups sees footage from True Detective mashed up with the opening credits of the Tom Selleck show Magnum P.I.
While not the most original idea ever, the result is actually pretty awesome. Check out the video below:
Not every fan loves to see these parodies as most of them are just the same thing rehashed by someone who thinks they can do a good Rust impression. There’s really only been one dead-on impression and if you’re not Ross Marquand then you’re just second best.
But this credits mashup is rather clever and serves as a nice change of pace from the endless Matthew McConaughey impressions we’re subjected to.
