True Detective Season 2: When Will We Get Our First Look?
HBO has treated True Detective very delicately thus far, and understandably so. It’s currently one of their rising stars and they want to do everything in their power to keep it that way. For fans, unfortunately, this has translated into very little information being released. It may be understandable, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not also disappointing.
Now that True Detective’s second season is finally moving into production, it’s just about time to start waiting for our first look. This could come in the form of teaser images or on-set interviews, things which Game of Thrones has been very good about. For every new season of Game of Thrones there are production diaries that are released online for fans to salivate over.

True Detective could eventually have a similar setup. It doesn’t really help that creator/writer Nic Pizzolatto is more of a private person, but there’s always hope. Now that most of the pieces seem to be in place season two could possibly make that January premiere after all. It’s not out of the question to believe that by the end of November of early December we’ll start to see some bits of season two begin to slither out.
True Detective has a lot riding on it after the success of season one, and you can bet that the production team is feeling the pressure. It’s very exciting to finally see the ball really rolling now. If only we knew who is going to do the music.
