Matthew McConaughey was asked about True Detective season three, and he knows as much as anyone else.

Matthew McConaughey was recently honored for his humanitarian work with his own charity, Just Keep Livin’. While at the event, which was hosted by Variety, Matthew McConaughey was asked directly about True Detective season three.

Matthew McConaughey is one of True Detective’s produces, but it’s unlikely that he has much to do with the show. It’s a similar situation to the one that Cary Fukunaga is in, who serves as executive producer but has no involvement in the show anymore. On top of that, even if Matthew McConaughey did know something, it’s unlikely that he would be forthcoming with that information.

True Detective season three is coming. There is more than enough evidence to support that by now, regardless of what Matthew McConaughey has to add. We may have to wait even longer for it to actually happen, but it is indeed happening. As with all things in life, it’s just a matter of time.
