Next: HBO Has A Serious Drama Problem

Undefeated WBO Junior Welterweight champion and pound-for-pound contender Terence “Bud” Crawford returns to HBO Boxing tonight, as he faces off with “Hammerin'” Hank Lundy in a 12-round junior welterweight title bout from the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Crawford (27-0 19 KO’s) is among the hottest young stars in boxing after posting four straight impressive victories in the past two years. Lundy (26-5-1, 13 KO’s) is a tough Philly fighter who is better than his record might suggest. Hammerin’ Hank’s losses have been narrow defeats at the hands of top-flight competition, and he isn’t intimidated by Crawford’s big reputation. “I guarantee that in this fight, you’re going to see him get exposed,” Lundy told the press at a public training session. Crawford, who is also no slouch at talking smack, was quick to respond at their recent press conference. “You’re like the boy who cried wolf, Hank. You’re always wolfing. You talk a good game, but then when you lose, it’s always some bull****.”

Terence Crawford stands as a 3-1 favorite, according to the Las Vegas betting odds, but Lundy should provide a stern test of his heart and determination to rise higher in the pound-for-pound rankings.

On the undercard, two undefeated lightweights will collide and somebody’s O must go, as Puerto Rican star Felix Verdejo (19-0, 14 KO’s) takes on Brazilian William “Baby Face” Silva (23-0, 14 KO’s).
