Season Five of Veep Has Wrapped Shooting
Season five of Veep, HBO’s award-winning comedy, has wrapped filming.
HBO has been having a bit of trouble with finding award worthy shows outside of Game of Thrones. The search has already cost them millions of dollars and a few casualties. The only other show that HBO currently has that consistently pulls in awards is Veep. Fortunately for fans of the Meyer Presidency, Veep season five has officially wrapped filming.
The official Veep Twitter posted a short clip of the official end, which you can see below:
Very exciting. It’s always great to get an inside look into a series, especially when it’s something as consistently hilarious as Veep. Leading up the wrap, Julia Louis-Drefuys had been documenting some of the filming on her own personal Twitter account:

Veep is the only HBO comedy to constantly bring home awards, a feat which Girls has not been able to accomplish. Silicon Valley and both Togetherness have had trouble here as well, though both have gained their fair share of accolades.
Season five will be the first season of Veep without its original creator and showrunner, Armando Lannucci. Lanucci also created the original British version of Veep, The Thick of It. Coincidentally, Neflix’s House of Cards also lost its creator and showrunner at the end of the previous season.

It would appear that even the game of fake politics can be brutal. Season five of Veep will premiere on April 24th, which cannot come soon enough.
