New Footage of Colin Farrell’s Fantastic Beasts Will Air During MTV Movie Awards
During the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday new footage will be shown of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Colin Farrell only has one project on the horizon — not counting The Lobster. That will be the first movie in a new Harry Potter trilogy, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It’s not clear whether or not Colin Farrell’s character will actually be in all of the movies, though he will at least play an important part in the first one.

The promotional material for Fantastic Beasts has so far been coy with Colin Farrell. He barely appears in the trailer and hasn’t been seen much outside of that. Whatever is going on with Farrell’s character, Percival Graves, the team behind Fantastic Beasts sure doesn’t want us to know quite yet. Good thing, then, that new footage will premiere this Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards.
MTV describes the clip as a “sneak peek,” so it might not be a full-fledged trailer. Since the movie won’t open until next Holiday season, there is still plenty of time to continue building hype. It is part of the Harry Potter universe though, so hype is going to build fairly organically.
Hopefully this new footage will give us a better look at Colin Farrell, though there is of course no guarantee of that. Eddie Redmayne will be on-site to premiere the clip, so it would be a good bet to say that the new footage will focus on him. He is, after all, the main character.
Next: All of Vince Vaughn's upcoming films are dramas.
This movie will likely be one of the biggest of 2016, if not the biggest. It’s worth remembering that Star Wars actually premiered in 2015, so there’s not really any competition there. Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey, and Rachel McAdams all have one movie each coming up, and they’re all huge.
