The Cast of Looking: The Movie Talk About the Emotional Finale
A new feature on Looking: The Movie talks about the end
Looking was a show on HBO that never really go the shot that it deserved. It’s rather normal portrayal of gay culture and relationships didn’t pull in big numbers for HBO, but it will at least be able to end its storylines with a movie. A movie that the cast and team are excited to show off to fans later this month.
We’ve already seen the trailer for Looking: The Movie, but now HBO has posted a new feature that focuses on the cast and creator and their feelings on it. Check it out:

It is thankfully made clear that the movie will be revisiting old characters and haunts, and by all intents and purposes it looks to be a fitting finale. Right off the bat, Jonathon Groff, who plays Patrick Murray, says that it “feels really right” to be able to end it all with a movie. The movie takes place nine months after the end of the final season and finds Patrick returning to San Francisco.
The other main actors are also excited about the project, and it actually looks to be the best distillation of what Looking can be. Murray Bartlett, who plays Dom, says in the clip that Looking: The Movie is filled with “long, two-person conversations.” And since that was one of the best parts of the series, the of that the better.
Next: Evan Rachel Wood is really excited for Westworld.
Looking: The Movie is not like the continuations that Sex and the City and Entourage got. Those were big-budget spectacles compared to this, and both of those series also had proper finales. Looking: The Movie will premiere on July 23rd, and it looks like fans of the show won’t have anything to worry about.
